Overview
Boozie Bingo is a host-first mobile application designed to make live Bingo events more interactive, organized, and enjoyable. Built from scratch, the app replaces traditional bingo caller tools with a clean digital experience that allows hosts to manage games, customize balls, and display gameplay on a TV using AirPlay or screen sharing.
Instead of focusing on players, the product was designed around the person running the event—making every interaction fast, simple, and reliable so hosts can focus on entertaining the room rather than managing the game.
The Challenge
Many existing Bingo applications felt outdated, cluttered, or locked behind unnecessary paywalls. Hosting a live game often required juggling multiple tools while offering very little flexibility for customization.
The challenge was to design an experience that remained simple enough for anyone to use while giving hosts everything they needed during a live event. Every action—from calling the next ball to pausing the game or customizing ball content—needed to happen within seconds without interrupting the flow of the game. Results
The Solution
The experience was designed around the host's workflow, allowing the entire game to be managed from a single mobile device.
Hosts can quickly start a new game, connect to a larger display through AirPlay or screen sharing, call balls in real time, pause or end the session, and monitor previously called and remaining balls throughout the game.
One of the most enjoyable features was the ability to customize every bingo ball. Instead of displaying only numbers, hosts can assign custom names, upload images, and even attach songs to individual balls. This creates a more engaging experience for themed events while helping DJs prepare the next track before the following ball is announced.
By removing unnecessary complexity and focusing on the live hosting experience, the app transforms a traditional game into a more modern and interactive event.

Reflection
Boozie Bingo reminded me that successful products don't always need dozens of features. Sometimes the best experience comes from solving one problem exceptionally well.
By focusing on the host rather than the players, every interaction was designed to reduce effort, keep the game moving, and create a smoother experience for everyone involved. It's a small project, but one that demonstrates how thoughtful UX can modernize even the most familiar activities.
